A very basic overview of type of troops in Mount and Blade Bannerlord's Factions

• Calradic Empire is where the Players find themselves involved at the beginning of the game. The Empire's military has been honed throughout the generations and is a force to be reckoned with, employing cataphracts and spearmen along with archers to devastating effect.

• Vlandians are a feudal state that specializes in heavy cavalry. 

• Sturgians inhabit the northern woodlands and specialize in producing axe-men and swordsmen. 

• Aserai inhabit the less inhabited deserted lands of Calradia and use footmen and horsemen in battle. 

• Khuzaits are a "steppe tribe?" and make heavy use of horse archery. 

• Battanians are famed for their marksmanship as archers throughout Calradia. This Faction seems to remind me of the Nords and would be very beneficial in defending your castle's during a siege!

France

Led by Napoleon Bonaparte, the French Empire in 1812 was the most powerful continental state in Europe. In Mount and Blade Napoleonic Wars you can take the side of this fancy talking world power and fight as a soldier and siege castles with fancy rants by constantly pressing the "C" button on your keyboard to shout out french.
In 1812 the French armies fought all across the continent - from the mountains of Portugal to the steppes of Russia. The French tricolour was already raised over Berlin, and Vienna has been captured - for the first time in the city’s history. All major European nations have already suffered defeats against Bonaparte’s Grande Armée, but the widely stretched French nation is now literally surrounded by the enemies. France will have to battle against the whole of Europe. Again...











United Kingdom

Who doesn't want to run around with one of the koolist flags ever made while killing enemies with colorful uniforms?  British are constantly expanding and strengthening their influence over the world. However, to become the world’s dominant power, Britain first need to get rid of her most dangerous enemy- Imperial France. Britannia rules the oceans with war ships on a massive scale, but France still dominates the continent, something London refuses to tolerate.

 trying to maintain a huge empire as well as a war against the United States, Britain has to compensate the lack of troops with professionalism and solid discipline. At the same time huge diplomatic resources are being used to pressure Austria and Prussia to join another coalition. Britain needs all the help she can get if she is to beat back the huge armies of France. (that's were you come in) :D  go get em!









Prussia

Prussia's power is a thing of the past. In 1812 the once mighty Prussia has been conquered and is now, forcibly, allied to the French.  Prussia does not like being weak... (no one does) and that is why they are back to prove they are not! and they can't do it with out you! so go be a prussian and go prush some enemies with your prussia!
 The success of France has lasted for too long and her generals have become too self-confident and proud. Now it is Prussia’s time to return the favor from 1806 and teach the French a lesson they will remember for a long time.  "kind of like a good spanking".

Austria

The Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars were a disaster for the Holy Roman Empire. (Belongs to Austria) 
However, despite serious blows the Austrian prestige, the Austrian spirit is not broken. Austria is now more determined than ever to pay back for all shame suffered from Bonaparte. (Leader of France). While it may have suffered defeats, the Austrian army is still the third largest in Europe and was the only army which have defeated Napoleon without any allied help, and was close to defeating him on two more occasions.(close but not qwite) The Austrian Empire now stands ready to retake what once was hers. So I guess it's your job to go all Black and Yellow and play some Foooball on the battlefield... To take back the Motherland!

Russia

(speaking of Mother Land) Having successfully contested Sweden, Prussia and the Ottoman Empire for lands, St. Petersburg has now reached another level of ambition. The young Russian monarch, Alexander I, cares little for the new lands. His ambitions are much higher than that - to defeat Napoleon himself and “save Europe” from French tyranny. 

Russian armies have marched against Napoleon twice, and both times they were repelled with heavy casualties on both sides. (failed twice) The third clash, which is about to come in 1812, will be completely different. Belorussian forests and endless Russian steppes are quite different from the fields of Europe with their well-developed road networks and numerous villages.(Home territory) And the Russian peasant will not allow himself to be murderd by an enemy army - instead he will rather grab his axe and escape to the nearest forest. These are called partisans in the game of Napoleonic Wars, and are perhaps one of the funnest battles to have when in huge numbers! You can spawn with an axe, a moltov cock-tale, a sickle, polepike, pitchfork, or even a log from a tree! So go grab your friends and make a full lobby blood bath partisan fight! it would please the Mother Land!
